I did not become passionate about helping people because I had everything figured out. I became passionate about it because I know what it is like to be the person sitting in the other chair and hoping someone will listen and understand. Growing up around mental health struggles, addiction, and family stress, along with going to therapy myself, showed me how important it is to have someone who genuinely cares and does not judge you. I work with children, teenagers, and adults who may be dealing with anxiety, OCD, overthinking, recovery, or just feeling stuck in life. My goal is to create a space where people can be themselves, feel comfortable opening up, and work toward becoming the person they want to be.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing Pokémon and other video games, watching scary movies with my girlfriend, playing golf, spending time with my dogs, and making sure my fish are happy. I think being genuine helps therapy feel more comfortable and less like you are talking to someone who is judging or analyzing everything you say. Whether I am working with a child who has trouble understanding their emotions, someone struggling with intrusive thoughts, or a person trying to make changes in their life, I try to meet them where they are and help them feel supported along the way.
