Getting started with your therapist should feel supportive, not confusing. We’ve outlined the process to get connected with your therapist in a effort to remove all the guesswork and get you started on your therapy journey.

How Do I Get Started?

Step 1: Reach Out

You can contact us by phone, email, or through the contact form on our website. Let us know a little about what you’re looking for — whether that’s individual therapy, couples counseling, child therapy, or something more specific.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. A brief description is enough to get started.

If you’re unsure which therapist would be the best fit, we’re happy to guide you. We’ll discuss the following with you to find you the best match:

  • The concerns you’d like to address

  • Your preferences (in-person or online, male or female therapist, etc.)

  • Scheduling availability

  • Insurance or payment considerations

Finding the right match matters. We want you to feel comfortable and confident moving forward.

Step 2: We Help Match You

Step 3: Schedule Your First Appointment

Once you’re matched with a therapist, we’ll help schedule your first session at a time that works for you. Via our patient portal, you’ll receive intake paperwork and important information about policies, confidentiality, and billing before your appointment.

Completing the paperwork ahead of time helps us use your first session for what matters most — getting to know you.

Your first session is about building understanding and clarity. From there, you and your therapist will work together to identify goals and determine next steps.

We want you to feel prepared for your therapy journey. For this reason, we have created a What to Expect page to better inform you of the therapy process.
